Instead of putting all the blame for US divide on media, ordinary patriot voters can save a slice of the blame pie for themselves imo.
More specifically, much of the country’s problems are traceable (imo) to ordinary patriot voters who abuse their 17th Amendment voting power. They abuse this power by electing senators who evidently don’t know the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers any better than the patriots who elected them probably do.
As a consequence, corrupt career senators help likewise corrupt career representative stay in power by passing all kinds of constitutionally indefensible domestic policy and spending bills to buy votes to stay in power.

After 1936, FDR had succeeded in overcoming the opposition in the Supreme Court. He appointed dogmatic Progressives, and they have been very successful in degrading the Constitutional limits placed on the government.
We used to have a local upstate NY Patriot with the same positions and passion regarding the items you posted. He was constantly suing the government based on this, unfortunately the deck is stacked high. Only way to stop it now is the vote, while we still have it.
