‘Masks reduce spread of the virus by reducing excretions (spittle, coughs, sneezes, etc)’

a common handkerchief (or the crook of one’s arm does the exact same thing...

‘Masks are not an “assault on our freedom”

what crap...being refused service in an essential marketplace for ‘improper’ usage of a needless piece of cloth is not an assault on my freedom exactly how...? the marketplace doing so is discriminating against me for a marginally existent reason...and the marketplace cites the government protocols as guidance, so governmental pressure dictates the discrimination...

‘And if we reduce spread..we get our economy back quicker.’

man, you really, really don’t get it, do you...? you’re as dumb as these college kids hectoring us to ‘wear your masks so we can have a football season...’ you think for one minute that wearing masks is going to magically get the governors to let their feet off our necks...? why do you think the goal of ‘flattening the curve’ morphed into ‘no cases whatsoever, anywhere, anytime...? Eh...? So we could get our normal lives back when the curve was in fact flattened...?

one last thing; since you’re such a fan of these filthy cloths, do you feel it your duty to rat on the miscreants you see ‘misusing’ them; like for wearing them under the nose, like I did at a store and had some old bitch rat me out...is that your game..?

Are you refused service in a store for no shirt or no shoes? In most cases, the answer is a hearty YEP.

Do restaurant employees have to wash their hands after using the bathroom and preparing your food? YEP.

Are they required to cook your food to a certain temp so that you don’t get food poisoning? YEP.

How is that any of THAT OK and not an “assault on freedom”?

There are many rules we all follow each and every day.

Wearing a mask to prevent the spread of a deadly disease (the worst pandemic in 100 years) is no great hardship. But, hey, let’s all keep arguing about masks so the cases continue to grow by 10,000+/day, we lose north of 1,400 or so American lives every single day, and Trump gets crushed in November - which at this point, he will. Sounds like a heck of a plan!
