I work my ass off to barely get that much as a double gig worker.

Makes my money worth less in the market and I have to pay taxes.

BFS or HFS, take your choice.

They better get out on Monday saying they are for it. The White House did yesterday.

Nancy and the no’s in the Senate won’t be last 2 days.

Money grows on trees. Where are the adults? I don’t want them running up this bill on our kids.

Cave...

LOL

That has been the drift for a few generations now.

The attempt to act as if this is an isolated incident is just pathetic.

What have they stood up against? N O T H I N G

There are only a few collective spines among the whole
bunch in the house and Senate.

I’m sure the Republicans will promise to get tough next time. So sick of this game. Republicans literally embracing socialism over a virus with a 99% survival rate.

Caving is what the GOP does best. It’s the one thing they do you can actually rely on.

Deliberately ruining the nation in a power grab. We’re going to need a bigger guillotine.

As usual, Rick Moran rips off an article from somebody else. In this case, the LA Times:
https://www.latimes.com/world-nation/story/2020-08-01/trump-gop-soften-on-opposition-to-600-jobless-benefit

Go there for a more complete report.

You know what’s more reliable than my 68 year old erection not showing up when I could use it? The Republican Congress bendinding over and grabbing their ankles every election year. I’m getting older sure but I’m getting meaner, everyday humans mean less to me.

Last I heard the democrats has put some crazy stuff in their. Like a federal guarantee on mail in voting. If that is the case then this should not be passed.

Republicans are paying them extra so they can stay home and play protester. Everybody else has to go to work. I’d love to stay home and make $2400 extra a month doing nothing. Freaking dumbass I am.

Another brick in the wall. The wall of a new permanent entitlement. Before long it will be “relied upon by so many for so long” that it would be, uh, racist to take it away.

Well, an entitlement for all except those of us who work for a living.

No matter how unpopular Dems are the GOP will always bend over backwards for them. I’d call them pathetic but the fact is that 99% of Republicans are just democrats anyway

Guaranteed income for adult. No work required, no citizenship or green card required. Only requirement is to vote Democrat at least once every election.

$600 per week, that’s $31K per year. The Democrats were looking for $50K, but that will be fixed next year.

If they rolled together the state benefits and federal benefits, it’d encourage more people to get back to work, because they wouldn’t be pulling down $768 a week for sitting on their ass lest they work two days and exhaust the $168 in state benefits and cut off the federal bonus.

It’s like a lot of things with a hard limit, earn a penny over the limit, everything gets cut off; that’s a recipe to keep people on benefits and not encourage them to work harder to get more.
