The RAT Teachers Unions think the world revolves around them. They have been PANDERED TO for far too long. Time for them to pay their dues -— NO WORKEE, NO BUCKS. Just like the rest of the world.

Fully sympathetic

I live in Maryland and a couple months ago I paid my property taxes to the county which primarily goes to the closed public schools, ~ $7000 annually.

Teachers Off since mid March with full salary and benefits.

I Expect it to continue indefinitely , the Voters here are hopeless.

They’re already getting paid for doing essentially nothing. They’re certainly not educating our kids.

apparently teachers are a category of workers who will not return to work - retail, industrial, professional, transportation, health, etc. - all have returned to work. Teachers are a special category.

Dozens of 10s of thousands private sector workers received full paychecks over the last 12 weeks.

When their job was shut down, and they did not go to work.

This because the federal facility was “loaning” money to their employers that would never have to be paid back. As long as it went to salary and benefits of employees.

Of course, everyone has a pet, and a hated scumbag.

Have unionized teachers somehow become a new welfare class?

NO federal money to schools that cannot or will not reopen on time and with all the necessary precautions for both the instructors and the children this fall. This extortion scheme has to be ended once and for all.

Teacher unions have been going on strike for inappropriate reasons and at inappropriate times for years, particularly in the larger Democrat-dominated cities, and the product of their labors, which is supposed to be the basic education of the youth to be able to function in the adult world, a task at which they have failed more times than not.

Now they want the paychecks to continue, for essentially doing NOTHING?

One thing you can say for the union leadership, they do not lack for chutzpah. Or maybe it is just hubris.

Arrogance on the part of the ignorant is the worst of all possible worlds.

Maybe us parents and grandparents deserve some of that pay since we are the ones sitting with the kids and assisting them when needed. Sarcasm off.

In the American public education classrooms is where the indoctrination of Hate America begins. Pro Communist teachers should have never been allowed to get such a foothold on our kids. The teachers union leaders and every teacher who belongs to it needs to be charged for conspiracy to defraud the taxpayers and complicity in conspiracy to aid and abet the overthrow of US Government as is clearly being carried out in our streets today. And indict every democrat politician for conspiracy to defraud the American people who supports the Antifa and the BLM violent thugs.

I’m all for “fundamental transformation” of our public education system starting with the abolishment of the Department of Education.

F**k the teachers’ unions. Public employee unions are illegal anyway and should be abolished. I wouldn’t send any child to a government-run school. They’re just anti-American brainwashing centers that make students ignorant, not smarter. In the long run, permanent shutdown of these abuse factories would be a positive result.

I've sent about ten emails, over a two week span, to my state senator and two state reps (all Republican) asking one question..."Will I get a refund of a portion of my property tax that funds schools since they have been closed".

I have yet to receive a reply from any of them.
