So very classless of him. Remember when he forced two grown men to share a beer on the White House lawn?

Wow...smart move.If they can lure white farmers back Zimbabwe might, once again,be the Breadbasket of Africa...as it was up until about 1980.

I remember her letters. Frankly surprised she hasn’t been murdered.
Honestly, why would whites they stay?
During Zer0’s admin they would no have been welcomed but Pres. Trump would have welcomed them with open arms.

Mozambique has opened their gates to departing Rhodesian and South African whites as well.

Ironically, prior to the Lancaster House talks of 1979, the socialist leaders of both Zambia and Mozambique (Kenneth Kaunda and Samora Machel) had told Mugabe not to alienate his white population, because they had each learned the hard way how important they were to the economy.

The blacks promoted “violent evictions of 4,500 white farmers.” Now the blacks want to pay back the white farmers even though the blacks do not have the money. Three mistakes.

One read of Sowell’s Basic Economics (2003) prevents such silly mistakes.

Is that 3.5 Billion Zimbabwe dollars? With that, the white farmers might be able to buy some car wash coupons and a pizza.

The one thing that has occurred to me is that Rhodesia was once the breadbasket of southern Africa when the white farmers ran the place.

However, southern Africa has always been a mineral treasure house. And the Chinese want access to it, but they don’t want to send their own people over there to get it. It’s part of the “Belt and Road” thing. They build the ports, roads and railways to get the stuff shipped to them. But the locals have to dig it out.

So, if they are relying on the local labor force, they need to make sure they are well fed. So, they want to get the white farmers back to make Zimbabwe back into the Rhodesian breadbasket.

They must have thought everything magically grew without any work..Boy were the black farmers surprised.....

The first thing they did was tear up the irrigation systems.

The land quickly reverted to desert in most places.

Same place. Mugabe changed the name from Rhodesia to Zimbabwe.
