Doctors are sharing their finest swimsuit selfies online after a controversial new study claimed that surgeons who post these kinds of pictures are “unprofessional.”
The study, published in the Journal of Vascular Surgery, touched on the impact of “publicly available social media content” and how it could affect future patients’ physician choices. In order to conduct the study, the researchers, who were mostly men, created “neutral” — i.e., undercover — accounts to investigate content posted online.
They deemed photos that display alcohol, that contain “inappropriate attire” such as bathing suits or costumes, and posts with censored profanity or controversial opinions as “potentially unprofessional content.”

How dumb. I know a few women doctors/dentists, etc., and they purposely scrub their social media because it could affect their business. They understand that many families may not want to see their provider doing whiskey shots and partying in a club late night the day before they have to take their kids on in for a visit.
I hardly think bikinis are inappropriate at the beach, the swimming pool, beach parties etc...
I would like to see pictures of these self appointed marshals of appropriateness.

it’s not just docs who need to be careful. I know some large companies have people in the payroll whos job is to scour social media if potential employees. That aside don’t ever out anything on social media you are not willing for your boss/kids/mother/spouse to see.
Some years ago when I was still on Active Duty, I was TDY for about 6 months & found a “short term apartment” near a major teaching hospital, which had many interns, residents & RN students.
I can testify that the young doctors/nurses, that lived in that large apartment complex, were OFTEN quite beautiful/shapely & not at all shy about exhibiting their obvious feminine charms at the complex’s two swimming pools.
(I was single in those days & was often invited to attend the hospital staff’s parties. = FUN TIMES.)

This thread is useless without the pictures ……..
They just follow the “look at me, cuz in a few years I won’t be so attractive” ethos of today.
They can post their pics thinking they are fighting back against the man but it is still unprofessional. Also whining about it on social media is unprofessional.
There are different “bikinis”. Little children should be better clothed.
