As a 30 year retired LEO the police response makes me want to throw up. In my day the response would have been much different. Quick, violent and no holds bar.
Come on Trump! Declare National Emergency! Dispatch troops and round up all of these “protestors” and house them in unused military bases for a few months.
Mayor Richard Daley showed how to do it at the Chicago Democratic convention in 1968. Charge in, bust heads, arrest everyone and run them out of town.

Well that was when you didn’t have mayors/governors and police chiefs ‘inviting’ people to their cities to protest and demonstrate against the police.
I hope citizens file charges against these mayors and governors for destroying their cities.
