The Justice Department (DOJ) announced that three people had been federally charged this week for offenses related to illegally possessing guns or ammunition in Chicago, Illinois—the first federal arrests made in the city in connection to the department’s “Operation Legend.”
The three arrests come after the Trump administration announced on Wednesday the expansion of the department’s program aimed at reducing violent crimes to Chicago and other cities around the nation. The operation, named after 4-year-old LeGend Taliferro, who was shot and killed while sleeping in his home, was first launched in Kansas City, Missouri, as part of Trump’s promise to assist cities that have have been hit by a recent string of violence.
Romeo Holloway, 21, was arrested on Tuesday night by federal and local law enforcement officers for allegedly possessing a loaded handgun containing ten rounds of live ammunition, which had a bullet in the chamber, according to a criminal complaint. He was charged with one count of illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
A few hours later on Wednesday morning, federal and local law enforcement officers arrested Darryl Phillips, 22, for allegedly possessing a machinegun while they were executing a court-authorized search warrant. During the search, authorities discovered a semiautomatic handgun in a bedroom on the property. Upon review, an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) special agent determined that the firearm was equipped with an auto-sear device, also known as a “switch,” which transforms the firearm into a machinegun, allowing it to shot more than one shot without having to manually reload, the criminal complaint said.

Don’t plea bargain the Federal charge. If found guilty sentence to some hole far away from home. As far as I care, build a new Federal Prison up in Alaska above the Arctic Circle and send them there. Lawyer can travel there if he needs to see him. Make this as uncomfortable as you can.

No known connection, but by Saturday 2:00 pm only one person had been killed in Chicago this weekend; only 17 had been wounded.
This is way, way off the pace. Last weekend’s total was, from memory, 14 dead and 60 or 70 wounded.
So yeah, the numbers this weekend are trending in the right direction - down. Thank you Mr. President.

There is one-dont know if its federal or not, north of Las Vegas WAAAAYYYY out in the desert. You can barely see it from the highway.
Anyway, first time I was driving through there I was looking around, since there aint anything to look at, and I saw that thing way to hell off the road. I was thinking, what the hell is that-lots of buildings and couldnt see the fences from that far off.
Got up the road a ways and there was the drive with the sign.
Now think of this. That thing is just about across from the high security area and one of the access roads to area 51. That and its high in concentrated radiation from the nuclear testing round there. Then, its so far off the road that anyone trying to escape gets to fight with the heat and the nasty little critters that inhabit the desert. They’d have to carry gallons of water to survive, if they tried.
It be done shot widdout havin’ to put anudder one in deah.
Got one place for you that would be closer and as severe.
Do a google maps search of Munising Michigan. There is an Island up there in Lake Superior. Grand Island. Build it on the north end. If they escape in the summer, the bugs will eat them alive. If they manage to make it to the shore and jump in the water, they have less than a half hour to get to the other side of the channel or they’ll die from the cold water-that is IF the current from those channels doesnt take them out into the lake.
In the winter, they’ll have to wade through chest deep snow and below zero temps.
That Island is about 13 miles long and about 8 miles wide at its widest.
It is Federal property.
