That is one reason I moved way way out in the country—where it would be economically impossible to provide city amenities.
Most suburban folks who move out here (thinking they are ready for the “country life”) give up in disgust in a year or two. It requires too much hard work and planning—they can’t handle it.
and everything happens slower
Same here. Closest grocery store is 18 miles with 13 of them being gravel road and I drive by a few hundred head of beef cattle along the way.
