Joe Biden said he is for redirecting police funds to other things.
You know he is for defunding the police but they know most people don’t want it. But if you re-direct or take money away from policing is it not defunding?

“During the interview, the presidential hopeful said that the police have “become the enemy.”

“Surplus military equipment for law enforcement, they don’t need that! The last thing you need is an up-armored Humvee coming into a neighborhood, it’s like the military invading,” he said.

“They don’t know anybody. They become the enemy. They’re supposed to be protecting these people.”

When he was asked whether he agrees that the government can “redirect” police funding, he replied, “yes, absolutely.”

Here is a snip of an interview Biden did last week where he said the above.

“The Brookings Institution, a left-leaning think tank, explained last month: “‘Defund the police’ means reallocating or redirecting funding away from the police department to other government agencies funded by the local municipality. That’s it. It’s that simple.”

Joe’s all for the Green New Deal, isn’t he?

21 Jun: Vice: Why ‘Defunding the Police’ Is Also an Environmental Issue
Defunding the police isn’t a distraction from organizing mass numbers of people to fight the climate emergency. It’s part of the same theory of change and political vision.
by Geoff Dembicki
But some of the country’s most influential environmental organizations responded without hesitation to a once obscure demand that has now become the protests’ main rallying cry: “defund the police.”

The youth-led Sunrise Movement recently hosted a mass online training about the concept, which has a variety of interpretations, including taking funds away from police departments — or abolishing them altogether. The group also urged its supporters to donate to racial justice groups and assist Black senate candidates like Charles Booker in Kentucky. Another climate group known as 350 raised $100,000 for bail funds and Black-led organizations and called on members to sign a ”pledge in defense of Black lives.”...

“If Sunrise weren’t really in a position to show up for racial justice organizing, as a Black man I’d be like, ‘Oh man, is this really the place I want to be?’” Sunrise digital director Mattias Lehman told VICE...

An April poll from the Yale Program on Climate Communication found just 49% of white respondents were “alarmed” or “concerned” about climate change, compared to 57% of Black Americans. (For Hispanics and Latinos, it’s even higher at 69%.) And 36% of Black people surveyed by Yale were open to the idea of joining a climate campaign pushing for political changes, as opposed to 22% of white people...

At its heart, defunding the police is a demand for bold and systemic change to correct injustice. In that sense, it’s not so different from the Green New Deal...

btw Sunrise Movement shows their communist creds...tho the writer tries to blame the “far-right”!!

19 Jun: Business Insider: Liberal group cancels event with Hong Kong activist following internal ‘concerns’ and external criticism from pro-China pundits
by Charles Davis
•The Sunrise Movement, a youth-led activist group that pushes for action on climate change, cancelled an event on police brutality after some criticised the involvement of a progressive Hong Kong activist.
•“People inside and outside of the movement raised concerns about this call,” Stevie O’Hanlon, a spokesperson for the Sunrise Movement, told Business Insider.
• On social media, critics of the event accused the Sunrise Movement of pushing anti-China propaganda, with many confusing the activist with others in Hong Kong who have met with US politicians.
•“The cancellation of the event suggests to Hong Kong activists that, regardless of how hard they work to educate potential allies abroad about the movement, their effort can easily be erased by a distraction generated by white conspiracy theorists,” Shui-yin Sharon Yam, a professor at the University of Kentucky, told Business Insider.

On Tuesday, the Sunrise Movement, a youth-led activist group that pushes for aggressive action on climate change, announced it would be hosting a call with someone well-versed in dealing with aggressive law enforcement.
“Lessons From Hong Kong: Taking Action in the Uprisings for Black Lives,” the event was called, featuring testimony from progressive Hong Kong activist Johnson Yeung on “tactics for taking action.”
By Wednesday, the event was cancelled, and the post advertising it deleted, following a firestorm of criticism from self-styled communists on Twitter...

When Sunrise Movement announced its event, a writer for China Daily, an English-language periodical owned by the Communist Party, eagerly jumped into the pile on, arguing that Hong Kong protesters “have shut down a BLM event” and “proudly accept and encourage support form the same politicians now egging on US police.”...

9 Aug 2019: The Federalist: The Well-Funded Environmental Extremists Of The Sunrise Movement Are Gaining Within The Left
The theatrics of the XR and Sunrise activists are anything but spontaneous, relying on an emotional appeal through impressionable youth. And mammoth moneybags are fueling it.
by R.A. Epstein
McKibben and his ilk already had the ear of powerful corporate sponsors such as Avaaz (which took donations from BP, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan) and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, to the tune of $200,000 to $25o,000 per year since 2013, to his nongovernmental organization 350.org. Their global Divest-Invest campaign has attracted the support of the far-left mega-donor Wallace Global Fund (WGF), an organization founded by President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s socialist Vice President Henry A. Wallace (other accounts claim his son Robert founded it).

It is easy to forget that McKibben was a senior backer of the Bernie Sanders 2016 presidential campaign and was even on the senator’s five-member delegation to the Democratic National Committee’s platform-drafting meetings that year and fumed about the DNC’s refusal to adopt his proposals in Politico...

In fact, several of Sunrise’s founding activists are alumni of 350.org, including its most visible spokesperson Varshini Prakash and founding president. Its initial officers Evan Weber, Matt Lichtash, and Michael Dorsey had all been affiliated with either Occupy Wall Street or the Sierra Club. Wallace Global Fund also awarded its Henry A. Wallace Award to the Sunrise Movement this year...

WGF, through its own investment (as of 2017) in the Brandes International Equity fund, indirectly invests in Eni S.p.A. and Engie S.A. It also invests in Generation Investment Management, a gigantic firm chaired by former Vice President Al Gore that claims to have $22.1 billion of assets under management. The Rockefeller Foundation is even more opaque with massive holdings in equity long/short and event-driven hedge funds that tend to invest in oil and gas.

The hook-up is no coincidence. Through the Ayni Institute, activists from these and other “grassroots” movements are trained in digital age adaptations of the same organizing tactics Saul Alinsky taught. The institute’s director, Carlos Saavedra, admits this. He proudly touts his training through Alinsky’s Industrial Areas Foundation...

Even Rolling Stone, when covering Sunrise’s protest at Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s office in February, remarked that some of the children looked to be in elementary school. “We are asking you to be brave and to do this for us and for your grandchildren,” a Sunrise protester said to the California Democrat...

FakeNewsMSM are fully behind the “climate” movement!

26 Jun: NYT: These Teen Girls Are Fighting for a More Just Future
Like legions of Black women before them, these four young activists are building a better tomorrow.
Interview by Jessica Bennett
And from her bedroom in St. Louis, where she lives with her parents while on break from college, Brianna Chandler, 19, was using social media to organize a teach-in for local high school and college students to learn about racial justice. Two older activists called in, including Cori Bush, who is running for Congress; another girl, part of a local arts troupe, read a poem about police brutality.

“I think that educating people is essential to movement building,” said Ms. Chandler, who is also active in the Sunrise Movement, a youth-led climate justice organization...
Teen girls have long been at the forefront of social progress. Think Malala Yousafzai, Emma González or Greta Thunberg...

All Wallace ever does is set up guests with gotcha questions and/or statements. That is the extent of his journalistic talents.

FNCs, Chris Wallace was dead wrong and Trump was 100% correct. Biden stated that he would absolutely move budget funds around on police budgets in answer to a reporter’s question. Fox News should fire Wallace, immediately, one for being wrong, and two, for insulting POTUS, Trump!!! This Wallace has no class whatsoever.

You could see the hate/envy in the Wallace eyes, and the drooling in his body!!! Fact is: he did nothing with his insulting remarks to hurt Trump, but he made himself out to be the Butt Wipe that he is. Fox should dump him, Neil Cavuto and Gasperino, all of them 100% losers and lie tellers!!!

Wallace said this: “Look,” he said, “I think we’re not meek but the point I guess I’d make is first of all he’s the president of the United States, whether you like him or you don’t like him, and I think there’s a certain respect due to the office, even if you don’t feel it for a particular man.

Expect Trump to do a lot of interviews with less than friendly venues. It’s part of a Smoke Joe Out of the Basement strategy.

‘The media’s doing it for him!’

yes, that’s true, and the more Trump refers to Biden as slow and dementia addled, the lower the bar is set for a debate, and the more inclined any moderators will be to stick up for Biden...when you’re engaged in a fight for your political life, knocking your opponent’s physical appearances won’t win you the votes you need...

Trump suggested that cities are being “stupidly run” by liberal politicians, but Wallace pointed out that Democrats have been running American cities for decades.

Saw that. Just look at what our cities look like (e.g. tent cities in parks, people deficating on streets, ruin monuments, etc.) and that's what happens after decades of Democrats rule.

Your Grandfather’s Democrat running a city in 1966 bears almost no resemblance to the wackos running them todsy. Chris is fully aware of this. What a smarmy liar.

You are spouting conventional wisdom. On the face it seems to make perfect sense. But Trump won by flying into the face of conventional wisdom.

FOX IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. It is run by the America hating, Trump hating, us hating, Murdoch scumbags. Go to One America News and or Newsmax. Both are what Fox used to pretend to be when it pretended to care what we thought of them. Wallace is just being given a chance to release his inner liberal America hating self.
