Fuqua is a surname derived from a Franco-Germanic word meaning “guardian folk” but there is an African-American movie director by that name.

Yes ... Fuqua crosses the Gulf Freeway just inside the Tollway.

Yes ... Houston still suffers from the aftermath of Katrina. It will for a long time.
