Guess what? Life sucks. It’s hard. Try kidney failure before your 21st birthday, due to no fault of your own, on top of osteoporosis, arthritis, spinal fusion (sacrum and L5), and permanent nerve damage in the left arm from the dialysis access and the incompetent nurse who blew it out and forced a need for revision. There’s also the need for a new aortic valve, but that’s another problem with a different set of symptoms.
Toss in the side-effects of all the drugs... Life can be worse. She doesn’t realize that. I know people have it way worse than me, so I typically don’t complain, but this pisses me off. She went into the military knowing the risks, whereas I lost the genetic lottery. Who’s fighting for “my cause” (so to speak)? Sure as sh!t isn’t her.
I wanted to go into the military and become a doctor, but there’s no way that was going to happen. I can’t even afford to go back to school to finish becoming an EMT, because I’m well past the halfway point of my life. I’ll be lucky if I make it to nurse, but my goal is to make it to PA.

Did anybody twist your arm to join the military Tammy? What does losing your legs have to do with removing historical monuments? Those monuments are there to remind us of our past, good and bad, so the bad never happens again. But you seem to be intent on destroying other people’s history, for the sake of one group. It doesn’t work that way. This country’s history belongs to every one, whether you like it or not. I’ll bet you used your military-related disability to get yourself elected. Now you want to use it to play the victim card to denigrate Tucker Carlson? Sorry Tammy, but you willingly decided to join the military, as well as the party of slavery, the KKK, Jim Crow Laws, segregation, and abortion. It seems to me you not only lost your legs in Iraq, but your brain and soul as well.
