On Monday, the conservative internet was rife with stories about a video of a Community Education Council meeting in New York City during which a white woman, Robin Broshi, screamed that it was racist for a white man to hold his friend’s nephew, a young black child. However, there’s much more to the meeting than the way Broshi exemplifies the hysterical white women powering the BLM movement. The meeting is a microcosm of the civil war between people genuinely concerned about improving conditions for minorities, and virtue signaling leftists who are useful idiots for the Marxists.
New York’s Community Education Councils are parent advisory bodies. On June 11, a meeting revealed fissures in District 2. During the four-hour meeting, some people got offended by remarks about race and about a white man holding a black baby on his lap.
When the Council met again on June 29, the hysterical Broshi told the man who held the baby that what he did was racist:
It hurts people when they see a white man bouncing a brown baby on their lap, and they don’t know the context! That is harmful! If you only allow two sides to an argument, and both sides are there to virtue signal, things will get out of control pretty quickly.
Life was better in the bad old “repressed” days, when:
1. People minded their own business
2. People generally were taught and practiced social etiquette and good manners
3. Corollary to No. 1 - people kept personal remarks about others’ appearance and habits to themselves
Now we seem to live in some never-ending vortex of anger, emotional chaos and perpetual offense, all fully and verbally expressed.

Woke means insufferably condescending and disdainful of ‘old ways’.
The ‘woke’ amongst us are (to paraphrase Thomas Sowell) anointed with a vision that we are incapable of achieving.
We must surrender our destinies to those more capable of determining what our futures should be.
That’s what they want they want you to think.
In reality, ‘woke’ is the whispered password of totalitarians, eager to remove your privilege (ie. your legally acquired wealth and property) in order to use it to ‘lift’ someone more ‘deserving’.
In other words, woke culture has no use for you, short of stripping your carcass and discarding you.
