...venture capitalist Peter Thiel likely will sit out the race this time around because he sees the chance of a Trump victory as slim.

That's so gay.

He’ll be there in October when things have “turned around” and he doesn’t want to be left out in the cold. Trump definitely doesn’t forget those who abandon him.

Mr. Thiel considered Democrat Joseph R. Biden as too much of a liberal retread to support.

He also hasn’t ruled out an unenthusiastic vote for Mr. Trump, the Journal reported.

I can understand not wanting to contribute money if the thinks it would be wasted, but why would be unsure if he's going to vote for Trump, give that he regards Biden as not an option?

It's a shame. I hope he reconsiders.

He wrote a good book many years ago. He saw what was coming;

Likely double digit unemployment in November? Lies. It will likely he single digit when July ends. It’s a strong V shaped recovery. Reached 11% already.

Thinking Trump will lose vs being unenthused about voting for him are different things. My guess is that he’s backing off because he’s disappointed in Trump, not because he thinks Trump will lose.

you keep thinking that, Thiel

you forgot what happened in ‘16. Same as then, nobody’s telling pollsters the truth. Deplorables don’t talk to strangers.

the chance of a Trump victory as slim

Never bet against a winner. They have a friend upstairs. And never double down on a two-time loser. Biden is past his prime as a plagiarist and coat-tail rider and can no longer form a coherent thought. Trump is a media talent, now with 4 years experience.

Soured? Probably snubbed by people on the other side, and can’t handle it. Sold his soul to the devil instead.

The Journal, citing “people familiar with the matter” reported that Mr. Thiel “has soured” on the president’s prospects in recent weeks because of the state of the economy and expected double-digit unemployment in November.

Is this piece of fake news from Fake news AP through the Washington Times?
Double digital unemployment in November?
On what planet is that?
We just had 4.8 million new jobs in June with unemployment already down 2.2% to 11.1%.
Even by July, unemployment will be down to under 10%. By October we will be looking at unemployment under 5%.
The entire article is pure fake news.
