Nike, in an apparent bid to force the Washington Redskins to change their name, has removed all Redskins gear from its website.
Moreover, the vertical drop-down menu on the left side of the screen, which displays the names of all 32 NFL teams, does not show the Washington Redskins.
Last year, Nike omitted the team name from its annual Salute to Service collection, according to Pro Football Talk. The more recent action sends a much stronger message.
Despite Nikes apparent new-found problem in doing business with the Redskins. The athletic apparel giant does not appear to have any problem maintaining ties to regimes that use slave labor.
In March of this year, a non-partisan Australian think tank revealed that Nike was one of 83 corporations to maintain active ties to factories in China that are believed to use Muslim slave labor.

Shouldn’t Nike also remove:
Braves
Chiefs
Blackhawks
Patriots
Browns
Pirates
Yankees
Indians
Cowboys
Celtics
And more, I imagine.
Nike should be consistent with their demands.
Or, it might be best for Nike to just discontinue all branded sales so they won’t risk offending anyone.
Eh yup, I already avoid Nike as well. For a while.
But the article mentions they only sell 31 teams worth of gear? What about the Browns, Chiefs, Cowboys, Vikings, Raiders, Buccaneers? Are none of those names oppressive and ‘triggering’ enough?
What about Cavaliers, Warriors, Braves, Blackhawks, Reds, Trail Blazers, Pirates, Red Sox, Patriots, Indians, Rangers, Red Wings, or even the Canadiens? Shouldn’t they stop selling all of those as well?
Nike-Zeus rocket?
We’ll need some replacement names. Here’s a few for a start.
The Chicago Windies
The Philadelphia Cheese Steaks
The Washington Thieves
The Los Angeles LaLas
The San Francisco $hit Scrapers
The New York Nay Sayers
The San Diego Immigrants
The Denver Do-Gooders
Have a try, see what names you can add.
The Chicago Windies - Implies global warming is not real.
The Philadelphia Cheese Steaks - Offensive to vegetarians.
The Washington Thieves - Offensive to politicians.
The San Francisco $hit Scrapers - Offensive to coprophiles.
The San Diego Immigrants - Will preclude Gatorade cooler dumps as team members may get their backs wet.
The Denver Do-Gooders - Karens everywhere will want to speak with the General Manager.
I’ve been done with Nike for a long time.
BLM is about hating whitey. That’s why they are good with the term “people of color”.
I don’t knpow about all of them, but they will definitely keep the Reds. (They might require all teams to change there name to that to be fair and equal.)
When is Nike going to stop using slave labor to produce their crappy footwear?
My extended family has “removed NIKE” from our shopping list. PERIOD.
Damned Red Chinese Commie loving leftist shits - NIKE.
“Whos buying Nike merchandise anyway?”
Nobody. The BLM racists steal the shoes during riots, and the Nike nazis write it off as a tax loss.
“Thats why they are good with the term people of color
Apparently, they have no education, either. “White” is the presence of all colors while ‘black’ is the complete absence of all color! LOL
After the first coward caves, there will be more:
Braves Chiefs Blackhawks Indians
Cancelling Amerinds
I am wondering what Redskins has to do with blm. What am I missing?
Nike can KMA
I recently received a Nike shirt for father’s day. I just used it to start the fire pit.
Maybe Redskins owners should get more in tune with the modern era and rename the team the Firewater Drinking Casino Owners.
Yes, they are one of those companies that must kowtow to the trash that will rob old ladies to get money to buy their crap.
That depends on if you are dealing with addition of light (as in your computer monitor) or subtraction of light (as in mixing paints). Far more people are familiar with and can visualize the paints - they learned it with water colors in kindergarten.
On the monitor they really don't know (or care) what's going on with the pixels. They just know the color is changing.
