Attorneys for two former rookie Minneapolis police officers on Thursday rejected accusations that their clients aided and abetted the killing of George Floyd, casting blame instead on a senior officer who allegedly ignored his younger counterparts.

“What is my client supposed to do but follow what the [senior] officer says?” Lane’s attorney, Earl Gray, argued in court. “The strength of this case, your honor, in my opinion is extremely weak.”

Defense attorneys said Kueng, 26, of Plymouth, was working his third shift ever as a full-time officer and Lane, 37, of St. Paul, was working his fourth day as a full-time officer on the day they encountered Floyd.

“At all times Mr. Kueng and Mr. Lane turned their attention to that 19-year veteran …” Plunkett said. “[Kueng] was trying — they were trying to communicate that this situation needs to change direction.”
Charging documents show that Lane asked twice if they should roll Floyd onto his side and was rebuffed by Chauvin. Kueng took Floyd’s pulse and told his colleagues, “I couldn’t find one,” according to the criminal complaint.

I sincerely hope these attorneys have something better prepared to defend their clients than “they were just following orders.” The last guys who tried that defense hanged for what they had done under orders.
Why am I getting a strange sense that one or both of these guys will get the Jeffrey Epstein treatment?
They were police officers when they were involved, they should be referred to as police officers, not as ex police officers.

If their body cams bear this out, the newbies, while not guiltless, were at least objecting.
Looking more and more like Chauvin just didn’t give a crap despite what other officers were telling him - if this is true. Again, want to see the body cam recordings. If there are no recordings because all four cams were turned off, the recordings were ‘missing’ or ‘lost’? Throw them and their chain of command under the jail.

They are currently ex-police officers as they were all fired. It is a technically correct statement.
They were police officers when they committed their acts, they are charged as police officers, and their employment status is simply ex. Calling them ex police officers in regards to the charges, suggest they committed these as civilians, not as police officers under the color of uniform.
Indeed. Did not know the two were so recently out of training. The other one, Thao, brother-in-law to Chauvin, was playing pocket pool for the duration. He had ample opportunity to call off his BIL.
Exactly. English usage rule. Always write out a name and then refer it’s acronym/abbreviation. What the heck is GF? Girlfriend?
That's certainly how it looked to me. Numerous onlookers making video of him, asking him to stop, GF begging him to stop... for some reason, Chauvin went into "kill" mode, and decided this guy is going to die right here.
I've never seen such a clear-cut case of murder on video from multiple points of view in my life. What a fool. I hope he spends a long time in jail, but somehow I doubt that he will.

And the oriental cop got into a marked cars stating PARK POLICE.

your not alone. I get this same feeling because this story that there is something fishy within this event. Perhaps either prisoners will get them or the cabal will order that they be off by a prisoner or guard....the Jeffrey Epstein treatment.

Correction: There is at least one resource which states that Chauvin and Thao are not related via marriage.
there must have been a reason for 3 officers to be ontop of GF basically....what was the explanation?.....if there was no medical/health reason, eg..extreme excitable delirium then there is no GOOD reason...
