Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan asserted Sunday night that “white men” are responsible for much of the widespread destruction across the country during protests against the death of George Floyd, a black man who died after an officer kneeled on his neck for several minutes.
“I want to acknowledge that much of the violence and destruction, both here in Seattle and across the country, has been instigated and perpetuated by white men,” she wrote Sunday night on Twitter, adding that they “experience the height of privilege and are co-opting peaceful demonstrations.”
Durkan is not the only person blaming white people for much of the violence.
MSNBC host Joy Reid was among several media pundits and politicians who suggested the protests are going awry partially because white supremacists are getting involved.

I am Sooooooo DAMNED glad that we moved out of that crummy communist bastion of liberal slime balls and now live free in my home state of Alabama. The Good LORD told us it was time to get out. To pack and leave and do it quickly. His hand HAD to be on us as we put our house on the market and IT SOLD IN ONE DAY!!! We moved out within two weeks, rented a house for a couple of months to give us time to do all the things we needed to do to leave, my wife resigning her job and me also. We were gone and got down here to Alabama on, you got it, THE FOURTH OF JULY, INDEPENDENCE DAY!!! We were free and independent from a state where we paid over $5,000 per year in property tax on our house, to a state where we pay very little state income taxes and pay less than $500 per year in property taxes!!!!! And our home here in Alabama actually cost us more than the one we hand in Sodom on the Sound. We are free from the communist scum that runs that state. Man I hated that stinking state. I never knew the liberal mindset until I lived there 15 years and really finally understood the brain dead people who are liberals.

In Tacoma (40 miles South of Seattle), an Antifa contingent marched 5 blocks away from my house. I could hear the chants. They are reportedly marching through the “white neighborhoods” to cause trouble.
Well, let’s see. Hmm, blacks make up 7% of Seattle’s population and it votes 8% GOP. IOW, Seattle is a swamp of white demonrats. Yeah, I guess the mayor would be correct.
