Since it is Friday night, it makes sense to keep all the press safely locked down in some dusty sub basement of the parking garage until it is safe for them to head home to their pricey condos, dinner, and the weekend they had planned. Oh, I’ll guarntee you that. I was a security manager at the Pentagon, but I was also briefly working security at Union Station when Algore was going to come by and speechify. (I needed a reason to stay clear of my first wife.) I was walking through the tunnels and back corridors of the facility and there were USSS all over the damn place, in hidey holes I didn’t know existed until curiousity got the better of me. I guess they had instructions to give us a little deference, because none of us got escorted away. The security office was deep inside the joint and we had to get there somehow.
