A Minneapolis restaurant owner is standing in solidarity with protesters after his building suffered fire damage, declaring that 'justice needs to be served' in the death of George Floyd. Gandhi Mahal Restaurant, located at the 3000 block of 27th Avenue and just around the corner from the Minneapolis Police Third Precinct, took to Facebook on Friday to share that the eatery 'caught fire and has been damaged.' 'We wont loose hope though,' said the restaurant owner's daughter, Hafsa, in the post. 'I am so grateful for our neighbors who did their best to stand guard and protect Gandhi Mahal, You're efforts wont go unrecognized.'

Most if not all property insurance has a “Riot or act of war” exclusion. He probably doesn’t know that yet.
If its covered
The black bar owner who had everything sunk in the bar was crying when his bro’s burned it down.
There went his life up in smoke and flames.
Bet it’s over insured.
I’m seeing images showing Boston Tea Party as it’s ok to destroy things in protest.
I’m seeing images saying burning buildings started with the KKK
We tried peaceful and this is how you all responded with an image of police and German shepard dogs attacking black people, water hoses, etc.
You like the good odds, LOL.
Except that are dozens of politicians and media pundits claiming that these are not “riots”, but “justified protest against white oppression”. The first witness for the restaurant owner in the insurance trial will be the creampuff Mayor.
Now if the insurance company construes insurance fraud in his comments and he doesn’t get his expected payoff, that would be poetic justice.
If he's cheering the burning, I would say he's complicit. If I were his insurance company, I'd deny his claim.
Something’s wrong here. Who would want their business to burn down unless it was part of a pre-planned conspiracy?
The governor is forcing all restaurants to go out of business.
He has forced them to stay closed since March.
I hate to break it to the guy, but there is no Insurance for a riot. LOL!!
He’s been closed since March due to the governors Covid lockdown.
I don’t think there’s fraud. I do believe he was either going to move on or redecorate. The restaurant gets great reviews.
Probably had fire insurance but not government lockdown insurance.
It wasn’t a riot. It was a protest.
“”””Hes been closed since March due to the governors Covid lockdown.”””””””””””
Yup. Just like most of the restaurants in Minneapolis he is in serious financial trouble. In the last month or so I’ve seen many of them announce they are closing for good.
Possibly not insured.
“He was going out of business and wants the insurance money.”
It was either this or a grease fire that got out of control in the early morning.
