So here’s the morning update...
There was extensive looting along University Avenue in St Paul. That is the main road between the downtowns of Mpls and St Paul. As a local reporter was broadcasting, people were still running in and out of local businesses stealing things.
In south Minneapolis along East Lake St, the police are trying to regain control of the area by the burned out 3rd precinct HQ. They are trying to enforce a perimeter. There are still building burnings in the area.
Metro Transit has halted all bus and light rail service in the Twin Cities area.
24 Target locations have closed in the metro area - even some in 2nd and 3rd ring suburbs.
