Even after a vaccine is discovered and deployed, the coronavirus will likely remain for decades to come, circulating among the world’s population.

Humanity always had faced obstacles. This one is no different.
Translation: “We will never stop all the pointless and nonsensical violations of your rights and freedoms under the guise of “COVID safety” even though new viruses have been popping up as long as mankind has existed and this isn’t even a particularly dangerous one.”
This article makes no sense, and I don’t get it - unless the intent is just to depress us with the idea that were DOOMED.
Measles in the US was pretty much taken care of, through vaccination. Even the links in the article itself point to the fact that measles is on the rise in poor countries - and even in ours - because kids are NOT being vaccinated, or not in the numbers they used to be.

Using Measles and Chickenpox as examples pretty much kills their story.
In both case millions of people got that per year.
Now thanks to vaccines Measles is down to less than 1300 cases a year in the US. So is Chickenpox. And if it wasn’t for immigrants would probably be a fraction of that.
AIDS haven’t completely gone away, but few people die of it like the 99.9% did in the 80s.

Its insane to regard this as unusually newsworthy.
And now we see its overhyped guessing numbers get replaced with the much lower, much less lethal numbers and we’ve destroyed the world’s economy for naught.
