As President Trump and the rest of the country grapple with an economic downturn and sky-high unemployment rates amid the coronavirus crisis, some Democrats reportedly worry that an explosive economic recovery in the fall could revive Trump’s lagging political fortunes -- and boost his chance at reelection.
Politico reports that Jason Furman, a top economist in the Obama administration and now a Harvard professor, told a bipartisan group of policymakers last month that “We are about to see the best economic data we’ve seen in the history of this country.”
The claims may seem counterintuitive amid the bleak economic picture right now. But it's premised on assumptions that as lockdowns ease, a recovery could follow more quickly than after past economic crises. Since his earlier prediction, Furman has reportedly also been making the case to Democrats, including top members of presumptive nominee Joe Biden's campaign.

It sounds as if the Democrats have to hope for/ pray for/ work for, economic hardship, economic destruction, in order to try to win politically.
Let’s keep the base together, as far as this election goes. I find it hard to believe that too many people would vote Democrat, because of an economic calamity caused by lockdowns in reaction to this virus.
I find it hard to believe, that they can make the case with a straight face, that somehow Biden and Democrats will revive the economy after all this, better than Trump will.
It’s like the press saying cases in some not hard hit states sere up 400% last week to scare people, because it went from 1 case to 4, hardly worth even mentioning.
The percentages will be the same in reverse when they compare to quarter over quarter results. Comparing the 3rd quarter to the dull 2nd will show the economy up 400%

The main stream media continues coverage on how bad the economy is: long lines at food banks, over 36 million people applying for unemployment benefits over the last 10 weeks, etc. When the economy starts rebounding as America is opening up, voters will wonder why the press isn’t cheering the good news.
Yes, the Dem leadership has to be pretty sick to want good folks to be ruined, financially and otherwise, in order to create a false demand for their (cough, cough) economic fixes and giveaways of money and free stuff (that was never actually theirs to give away.)

IOW, any economic boom, would be great for the people and country, but not for democrats, who wish for the economy to tank in order to hurt Trump and help democrats.
Everything that’s good for Americans, is not good for democrats, therefore, it’s better for the country to fail in order for democrats to have a chance in November.
They’ve declared, very clearly, that party comes before country.

One thing’s for sure, if a Rat somehow wins in November, the virus will suddenly have allegedly mutated to no worse than the flu/cold.
Partially erasing the economy will shake up the workforce.
I expect most new jobs will have improved the careers for most job-seeking Americans.
Now is the time to institute a mandatory check on citizenship eligibility for the job. ‘Forgot the name of that program.
