Elon Musk: Tesla will move from California to Texas/Nevada due to local coronavirus response

Elon Musk announced that Tesla will move its headquarters and more from California to Texas and Nevada due to the local response to the coronavirus, which he believes is excessive.

Over the last few weeks, Musk has been criticizing the shelter-in-place orders and restrictions related to the pandemic – going as far as calling them fascist.

Things are now starting to ramp up from just talk to actions.

As we reported earlier this week, Tesla attempted to reopen Fremont factory following comments from California’s Governor about starting to slowly reopen the state, but Alameda County, where the Fremont factory is located, shut down Tesla’s attempt to restart production.

Beto outspent Ted Cruz by 4 to 1, spending a record $80 million. And still lost.

Most kids born in Texas are Hispanic. The democrat future of the state is basically set in stone.

You are going to need to read up on the history of Texas. Texas used to be part of Mexico. They fought against Mexico to become a Republic, before even becoming a state.
Nothing is written in stone. Greg Abbott won by 13 points. Trump will easily carry Texas. Don't be fooled by the Cruz/Beto contest.

Watch Nuisance hit Tesla with an exit tax.

The RAT Super majority in the House and Senate will probably pass an “Exit” Tax
to grab more money for businesses leaving CA.

Lol...yeah Beto was the bottom of the barrel for sure. I don’t understand how some people do it but I think there were people who simply only voted Senate & Governor. I can’t imagine an Abbott voter crossing over to vote for Beto!

California has been at war with its manufacturing base for decades now.

Growing up in the 60’s and 70’s, local companies made, cars, aircraft, and southern california was a world center for the production of small boats...all gone now. Along with the jobs.

I’ve got to get out of Cali.

I didn’t do it, but there were a number of Republicans I know that either skipped that line on the ballot or even protest voted Beto because of either Cruz’s past behavior or his truly crap campaign. He took voters for granted and didn’t wake up until it was far too late. Trump had to come tour the state to save his arse.

I saw that coming long ago and pulled the eject handle back in 95 - left everything and everyone I knew behind and went to Texas.

Yep. One of my neighbors at the marina was all excited about getting out of California because he just bought property in Nevada. I said....why bother? Nevada is blue and will soon follow right in Cali’s footsteps.

It’s a nightmare. We have lost NH, Colorado, Virginia, New Mexico & Nevada. States we had a chance at getting. Might get NH for Trump in 2020, but that’s about it out of these states.

NM was never a chance to go red. Only 2 counties are consistantly red, the rest are the 65% hispanic majority overwhelmingly democrat. Only bright spot may be the Navajo portion of NW corner after the gubbnors tyrannic clobbering of the natives might swing a few more votes to the red side.

Yep.

Californians ruined Nevada just as they are attempting to do same in AZ and even TX.

What is it that they (that leave such a lib state) don’t get about leaving....then voting for exactly what got there last state, that they FLED, into the mess?

I was talking about the loss of these states over time. New Mexico went for GWB in 2004. It’s indeed gone now.

History doesn’t change the reality of today. And that reality is that the Hispanic-majority assembly and congressional districts in Texas mostly elect Democrats. And when enough of Texas is Hispanic, the state as a whole will go blue.

There are of course mitigating circumstances which may push that date out a bit. The TX Hispanics might not be as heavily and automatically Democrat voters are they are elsewhere. But they are still, decidedly Democrat voters. And when their numbers are great enough the same thing will happen as always happens in such states.

It won’t happen in 2020. I agree that Trump will carry Texas. But within the next 8-20 years TX will flip. And when it does, it will never come back. No Hispanic-flipped state ever comes back. They just get bluer and bluer.

He went out and tried to do a Trump impression, tried to be humorous and really sucked at it. Same with his fake southern drawl. He just needs to be himself and do the straight talk.

Hispanic doesn't mean automatic Democrat, especially in Texas. Again you got to look at history.
It's going to come down to how fast the border wall is built and the border secured and how fast deportations are carried out. Trump is doing both at a rapid clip. Even faster during this coronavirus hysteria.

Reality: Get acquainted with it.

The wall and deportations have zero effect on the number of US CITIZEN Hispanics voting for socialism and open borders over and over again everywhere they vote. Eventually/soon their already-here voting majorities will be old enough to vote and their ideology will have a lock on the electoral college. The chances of a conservative holding the White House will be same as one holding the governorship in California - and for the same reason. Game over. Lights out America.

Apart from the millions of mostly Hispanic illegals who keep pumping out tens of millions of US citizen babies who then vote Democrat.
The more illegals you deport, the more illegals you stop from flooding in through the southern border, the less the Democratic Party kind of Hispanic US citizen voters you get over the long term. Not to mention the millions of illegals who continue to vote anyways.
