Taxes in general are bad. Property taxes are to me the most dangerous, then comes the income tax. One of our sons moved to Oregone about 30 years ago. I did his taxes, and I could not believe at that time how much he paid income taxes for about 6 months of a low salary.
I would prefer a sales tax with no deductions. Local govs get 80% and 15% to the next governmental level and 5% to the state.
No complicated forms to fill out and no CPAs needed.
