I truly believe Trump is in the highest office of the land “because of” the hand of God.
Think about it, this man and his cabinet has taken blow after blow, lie after lie...and is still standing strong.
Not only standing strong, the evil doers, those who sought to harm his presidency/administration are now the target of criminal investigations. Day after day, the light is now overcoming the darkness. The evil men/woman are being brought out into the light.
God ordained this country and no one on earth will tear it down. It is HIS country, a shining light on a hill. From time to time it appears America has been mortally wounded, then emerges from the ashes even stronger.

When I look around at what America is today I often wonder, what if WW2 were to be fought now, with this crowd...We’d lose, or we would win having nothing but “grey brigades”, people in the 50’s, 60’s, maybe older, fighting for this country. I teach high school and college, there are no fighting men there. Just give me dats.

By that, can I assume you are referring to those that have gone forth to live/succeed on their own as compared with those who have waited for someone else to come along and help them out/fix their problems for them/continue to rely on others for their very living?
What does it matter when you have a guaranteed welfare check, or check from your government employer, or you are on SSI disability, or other entitlement with a guaranteed check.
They aren’t the ones getting killed in the shut down. What do they care? How about halt all their checks during the shut down and then see what they say. LOL.

For RATs, re-opening the country means they would have to get off their lazy asses and go back to WORK! Can’t have that.
Stop paying government “workers”, stop paying welfare people, stop paying retirement checks of former government “workers”, stop paying all “non-workers”...then we’ll see an attitude adjustment.

Although I am thrilled that businesses are reopening -- though agonizingly slowly -- I will continue to not patronize any store or shop that requires I hide my identity to be allowed to enter.
I’d want to see the demographics. Age, race, region, ethnic background, education, military service, immigration status. I would be willing to bet there are some startling differences between people with oh, say James Webb’s background versus Julian Castro’s or Tom Cotton versus AOC. I might be wrong though.

I’d prefer that my state governor end the home confinement order and our mask order immediately. In some businesses, at some times, besides restaurants and eateries, wearing a mask might be wholly inappropriate for reasons other than esthetics.
It starts young. I was reminded of that saying/adage/whatever about “If a child lives with criticism, they learn to condemn...etc.” and I can’t help but think one’s desire for freedom vs. one’s requirement for safety is, likewise learned early on. So then, being a free-spirited, freedom-yearning American (is there any other kind?) is largely passed down in the home, at the dinner table, to a certain degree, in the classroom. One can almost say it is “genetic”. So, too, is servitude. That is passed down in the home, as well.
What did those old protest minstrels say? Something about “teach your children well”?
