92% Of Democrats Say Reopening the Country Isn't Worth The Risk

As the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to rise in many areas, a majority of Americans say the trade-offs involved in reopening the country right now aren’t worth risking lives, according to a new poll — and there are stark divides in opinion along political and demographic lines.

Democrats (92%) were far more likely than Republicans (35%) to say reopening right now wasn’t worth it, according to the poll. The racial divide on that question was also substantial, with 84% of non-white respondents saying reopening wasn’t worth it, compared with 52% of white respondents. Seventy-two percent of female respondents said reopening wasn’t worth it, versus 54% of male respondents.

It was the latest poll to suggest that many Americans are wary of reopening the economy too soon: A recent Washington Post-University of Maryland poll, for example, found that majorities of respondents would feel uncomfortable going to retail clothing stores or eating out at restaurants.

Democrats believe Gubermint money grows on trees and there is no issue with deficit spending. They are a dangerous lot.

They can stay home. They can stay away from the barbers/salons, away from the markets, away from their jobs, away from the restaurants. Nobody has a gun to their heads.

Just don’t expect us to pay them to stay home.

A permanent paid vacation sounds pretty good, if it didn’t have to be spent locked inside our homes.

The biggest thing the Derp State is learning from this is how their media arm can inject fear into the public to get them to do anything.

What will the next psyop be?

Maybe most of the rat bastards would rather sit at home and play video games. I was going to say, play something else, but I thought better of it. 😁

A recent Washington Post-University of Maryland poll, for example, found that majorities of respondents would feel uncomfortable going to retail clothing stores or eating out at restaurants.

Well, then they can stay home and feed the Bezos for their food and clothing needs. Don't these imbeciles realize that the problem with re-opening is not re-opening in and of itself, but re-opening all at once, which would genuinely risk slamming the hospitals with COVID cases, provided that Brit Hume's conspiracy nut friends aren't onto something? Just re-open gradually, NOW!

When the clothing stores open up, I'll be perfectly happy to shop there if I need to, even if I have to wear an (ugh!) mask.

We flattened the curve. There isn’t a single community in the US where hospital capacity has been exceeded.

We won.

Go back to work. Be smart. But go back to work.

Perhaps those wishing to continue the endless quarantine should quit there jobs and donate all their life savings to small business owners?

Why should small business owners be asked to sacrifice more than them?

where mask diktats are still in place, I will not go...these are the first things that have to go, IMHO...

It’s proof positive of nothing but the entitlement inheren in the lib constituency. That and the belief keeping the country shut down somehow helps them (it doesn’t at all).

The country is right now in the process of opening up and will continue to do so with or without the approval of the Governors. As more and more people defy the lock down others will and are now joining them and what began as a trickle is turning into a torrent.

This whole thing will be all but over bythe end of May except for the screeching media telling us we are all going to die.

Most likely because the majority of Democrats live in cities and Republicans tend to be more rural.
