Many years in the making.

May it be the left or the right, both sides are guilty of giving government (city, county, state, and federal) more and more invasive powers, even blatantly unconstitutional powers such as a FISA court.

May it be the left that wants to protect us from global warming, racism, sexism, save the polar bears and create social justice. Or the right that wants to protect us from spies and terrorists, a foreign threat nation, each has their “reasons” for growing government.

So here we are. You have a government that gives itself the right to collect every email, text, and phone call without a court order and save them for about 5 years. You have government that gives itself the right to confiscate guns or ban them, to force immunize in some cases in the past, to detain people without a warrant, set up road blocks, search your personal affects and person without probable cause, raid some farmer because he’s selling raw milk, force someone to give blood or else be assumed guilty of drunk driving, seize private property under eminent domain and then give it to a big pharma corporation, conduct surveillance of political opponents and feed that to the chosen candidate...

The Founding Fathers were genius in their idea of limited government. The entire US Constitution is basically a document confining government into a small box, telling them, this is your place, these are your boundaries, stay in there. You CANNOT have freedom and CANNOT have a true democratic process, you CANNOT have an impartial government that is a neutral broker if government is large and has interests within the economy. That is where we are today. Government is 42% of the entire GDP in the US if you add city, county, state and federal together. Government regulates everything from how much water a toilet uses per flush, to the light bulb you use, or what vaccines are mandated for your children. Government sets the “standard of care” through the NIH. The US government today is like a giant octopus with its tentacles in every aspect of every Americans life. Sometimes liberals complain and other times conservatives complain about government over reach, but both are equally guilty of growing the government and allowing it to break out of every single shackle that was constitutionally created to confine the beast.

Name me one single right, just one, of the Bill of Rights, where it has not been abridged?

***Just give me one of the first ten Amendments which has not been violated / superseded by some government administration or department that as a matter of routine and established policy over ridden the basic founding law of this nation?

Just one of the ten?

In case another corona virus hits: You can always use the US Constitution as toilet paper if you run out.
