'A way of life': Massachusetts will require residents to wear face coverings
Washington Examiner ^ | 1 May 20 | Zachary Halaschak

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker signed an order that will require all residents to wear face coverings in public.

The order, which was signed Friday, is set to go into effect on May 6. The rule applies to all workers and customers at businesses across the state, according to NBC Boston. The order will not apply to children under the age of 2 or those with health conditions that make wearing a mask not possible.

“I think we all believe that as part of the strategy around some sort of reopening, people are going to need a mask or a face covering if they're going to be close to people. You can't always stay 6 feet away,” Baker, a Republican, said on Friday.

“This is going to be a way of life,” Baker continued. “No ifs, no ands, no buts, no doubts.”

As of Friday, Massachusetts has the third most infections of any state, with more than 62,200 cases and at least 3,562 deaths, according to a count by the New York Times. Baker said the state has seen slight decreases in coronavirus hospitalizations, and as of Thursday, only 6% of cases required hospitalization.

“While there are still hundreds in need, this number has not gone up,” Baker said Friday. “Overall, this is a very good sign.”

Other states that have already mandated coronavirus face coverings include Maryland, New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania.

March 2, 2020...CDC:

"Though health officials have warned Americans to prepare for the spread of the novel coronavirus in the U.S., people shouldn’t wear face masks to prevent the spread of the infectious illness, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. surgeon general."

Pennsylvania only “requires” wearing masks to go in businesses that are “allowed” to be open. In other words it’s kind of like the mark of the beast thing. You must have the mask to buy or sell. The business owners are the ones who supposedly can get fined if people are in their business without masks, so they all have signs up. No mask, no admittance. Very few people are seen with masks other than shoppers in my neck of the woods.

These clowns realize the first portion of their destroy the economy phase (quarantines for the healthy) is coming to an end. Therefore, they need to continue to terrorize the public with constant reminders that they should not be living life to its fullest. Masks for all is perfect for this goal. Scared people shut down economic activity so expect continued CNN and Chicom propaganda until November. The 2nd wave BS will be presented in October. I hope Trump is getting ready for it. As an aside, I realize COVID is a serious concern, but the Dems response is all about gaining power.

The people will embrace this at first. It’s top line virtue signaling.

The good part comes when the new wears off and it becomes an annoyance with no payback.

does anyone have an image of previous NCHS table that shows higher numbers before they lowered them?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That's easier to come by than it should be since the CDC has the data below still showing on other portions of its website - hopes to keep the hoax going for as long as possible I guess. I don't have time to look for the full 67K data but here's 64K showing in real time on the CDC website.
Less than a month ago, health officials - the Surgeon General even - were telling us NOT to wear masks, much less-home-made ones.
Wasn't the Surgeon General saying wearing a mask could do more harm than good? Now, who is correct?
He said it’s up to the states. It’s really up to the people. Trump is doing just what he should.
"The rule applies to all workers and customers at businesses"
Customers of strip joints, singles bars and massage parlors must be getting even more clinically depressed. THE ONLY THING WORSE WOULD BE VIOLATING EVERYONE'S RIGHTS BY FORCING SUCH PILLARS OF OUR ECONOMY TO CLOSE!!!!!!!
Sounds like everyone is Massachusetts should buy a Trump 2020 mask.
Many people are selling them. Here is one example.
President Trump is doing a perfect job, by the way. [For real—no irony or sarcasm there.]
And as for the foreign cultures of some of the states around our coasts and in the northeast, I have no understanding of the reasoning behind those, except that they are foreign, corrupt and more diseased.
The report says “provisional Deaths”. Not sure if that makes any difference.
However, it also says “Provisional death counts deliver our most complete and accurate picture of lives lost to COVID-19. They are based on death certificates, which are the most reliable source of data and contain information not available anywhere else, including comorbid conditions, race and ethnicity, and place of death.”
Not sure what to make of it.
because honestly wearing a mask does hinder breathing, does make your body create more stress chemicals as you have a little harder time breathing which can add to other issues like the lady that passed out wearing a mask while driving and had an accident which killed he, so wearing a maskin general is not wise.
CV19 wise, yes it may be helpful at times in public or around a sick person or if you are sick to wear a mask.
Daily, we have 1,500 - 2,000 CV deaths NAIONWIDE, more than half of them concentrated in the NY-NJ-Conn-Mass area.
Yes, and this article is about wearing masks in Massachusetts, not Idaho.
‘Trump needs to get out there and start defending the people that live under these dictators’
like he defended the people of GA when he trashed their governor who was in fact working for those people, in front of the hostile media...?
