I think what Trump was asking was could there be a way to perhaps “Transilluminate” tissue in the UV range. It is something done diagnostically by Medical Students in the visible range, I’ve never heard of a treatment like that. The PT people do IR trans illumination to “promote capillary recovery”. I’ve seen it, no idea if it works
What he was asking, I believe was is there a way to run fiber optics into each small airway and treat the lungs with UV in a manner similar to suction during a bronchoscope. Maybe. Nobody ever thought of that before I don’t think. It’s doable but the blood is moving through the chest so fast the blood couldn’t be treated, the airway epithelium, maybe but I doubt you would get enough “log kill” to be effective.
Trump just wants it to end. The guy is up there every day for weeks now. Who else on this earth could do what he has done?
