I’d like people to be asked...how long do you want the lockdown/house arrest to continue? 1 month? 4 months? 6 months?

Well I believe the checks and unemployment were to go for 39 weeks.

I honestly believe the democrats do not want people to go back to work or have private business. They want to give you UBI of about 1000.00 to 1500.00 a month. They also do not want private home ownership for the masses.

Well ya see, if the poll led off with that idea with a question like: if you were not receiving sick pay or some pay continuance from the government or your company, how long do you think the restrictions should stay in place?

A. Till the threat is over
B. Till my money ran out
C. Before I starved and was thrown in the street.

I bet door C gets 95% of the votes.

And there's the rub. By giving everyone state weekly unemployment compensation + the federal $600 per week, there won't be any incentive for millions of workers to go back to work. I'm as conservative as they come, and I'm no fan of government, but the weekly maximum weekly benefit in NJ is $681 (which I would qualify for if laid off) plus $600 from the feds is $1,281 per week (about 1/2 normal earnings)

I live at the shore and my mortgage is paid off. Bills are less than $1,000 per month for taxes, insurances, and all utilities (water, sewer, gas, electric, Direct TV and internet). Its awfully tempting to volunteer to be laid off and enjoy the upcoming great weather months at the Jersey shore. However, I've never collected, and don't want the government handout. I'd rather work and pull my own weight.

Exactly. Tell those against reopening there’s no money left in the coffers for unemployment and the companies allowing them to work from home are cutting their salaries in half and see if they don’t join the reopen crowd.
