A new documentary reveals that the U.S. had an opportunity to kill Usama bin Laden in the 1990s after tracking his location with the help of Afghan tribal informants, but were unable to do so because of an order signed by then-President Bill Clinton.
That order allowed the CIA to engage in "lethal activity" against the Al Qaeda leader, but the purpose of the strike could not be to kill him.
“We were being asked to remove this threat to the United States essentially with one hand tied behind our backs,” said now-former CIA station chief Bob Grenier in Showtime’s “The Longest War,” in a clip posted by The Daily Beast. Grenier was based in Islamabad, Pakistan at the time.

Clinton has always denied this. It was one of the plot points of the TV movie “The Path to 9/11” that was excised due to Clintonian pressure. This will get his blood pressure boiling.

The Sandy “Berglar” episode always deserved more attention than it got, and he got off far too easily.
It should never be forgotten that Clinton saddled the FBI with politically correct policies and directives that diminished their effectiveness. The classic example was a proprietor of a flight school in Arizona who reported that he had Arab students who were only interested in how to fly a jet liner already in flight but had no interest in learning how to land or take off. The FBI investigated but the field agents were told to drop the case lest they violate rules against “racial profiling”. Also never forget the Maryland State Trooper who stopped one of the hijackers on I-95 going 90 miles/hr, no license, no ID and in the spirit if racial and religious harmony, following the orders of his politically correct bosses, let him go.
Clinton and his commissars did incalcable harm to the United States.

In the book “Dereliction of Duty” the Lt. Col. author tells of the time when they had OBL in a position where he could be taken out with a window of about 2-3 hours, but Clinton was too busy watching a golf tournament and so the opportunity passed.
They (CIA) could have got him if they really wanted to do so. It is much easier to get forgiveness than permission.

When you begin to realize that, under the clintons, everything was for sale, that bin laden was a billionaire and then some, that clinton nixed an order to kill him, to a conspiracy theorist things begin to make sense. Non that anyone’s a conspiracy theorist...

Yeah and he also denied: "I'd didn't have sex with that woman, Miss Lewinsky." or however her last name is spelled. But Slick denied porking her or him getting his winnie "relieved" while she hid under his desk!!
