Diana,

Here in Sun Prairie we had drive up voting! my Wife and I din’t have to leave the car, we showed our drivers licenses and they brought out our ballots and we filled them out in the car and they were taken back in and counted.

It was very nice and the wait was not that long.

We also had the option of going into the polling place in person, but the wait was shorter, 15 minutes, in the car line....

That was a great solution. I heard of other towns doing that, too.

My Mom usually works the polls in SP, but she’s 83 and didn’t want to take any risks. I was going to hog-tie her if she didn’t stay home! ;)

I grew up in Sun Prairie. We moved there from Milwaukee when I was 10. I cannot believe how it’s grown! ‘My World’ back then was from Bird Street to the Jr/Sr High School on the main drag, to the strip mall and the grocery store, which is now the St. Vinnie’s.

Everything else was still pretty much farmland. When we first arrived we lived in those little cottages behind McGovern’s for a few days while we were waiting for our furniture and such to show up. Fun adventure for a kid that age. :)
