Michigan Democratic state Rep. Karen Whitsett credited hydroxychloroquine and President Trump for her speedy recovery from COVID-19, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Hydroxychloroquine, an anti-malaria drug, has been touted by the Trump administration as a potential key to treating the disease.
However, critics of the potential treatment note the drug has not been widely tested for its effectiveness on COVID-19 or recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Some have said Trump's broadcasting of the drug as a potential coronavirus treatment could result in a shortage for those who need it for other ailments it is used to treat, but Whitsett thanked the president for promoting it.
"It has a lot to do with the president ... bringing it up," Whitsett said. "He is the only person who has the power to make it a priority."
When asked by the Free Press if she thinks Trump may have saved her life, Whitsett said, "Yes, I do" and "I do thank him for that."

I thought that it was illegal (thanks to the Governor) to use hydroxychloroquine in Michigan. Perhaps, the Governor granted an exception to Democrat politicians.
She had to beg and use her position as a US Rep and being in the same party as the idiot Governor to be ALLOWED to try the treatment. Others won’t be so lucky.

Trump is a smart sucker. I mean really, anyone who can build ONE skyscraper has a good head on their shoulders. IMO we are lucky a guy who groks big systems is in charge.
I wish, and it’s just a wish, that Trump could do a George Patton and slap the crap out of a few of these media people.

Saw her last night on Laura’s show, seems like a really nice lady glad she is all better..of course the commie media wont report on this story because it will show that the drug combo WORKS..the left need people to die, to be more deaths than the swine flu, so Trump cant say that more people died under Obama’s watch
