As I said, we do not know what the specific vector was. However, we do know that wet markets have been vectors in the past and left alone they will be vectors in the future.

This is freshman level epidemiology. There are lots of published papers and studies on this. It is very bad public policy and in the past it did not impact us, but with international travel now what they eat there can impact us here.

Here is a 2003 article on SARS and it explains why these markets are potentially lethal to humanity.

Do you still think there were bats for sale to eat at the Wu Han market? Since eye witnesses say they were not, are you backing away from that claim? Bio scientists have specified that this virus came from bats, now where were bats present? Only in the bio labs that were experimenting on the virus. Not in the market.

It kinda’ makes a big difference when you take all factors and evidence into account. Not just that wet markets have maybe been responsible in the past. It really looks to me like the ChiComs are scapegoating the markets.

And it’s NOT that I want them kept open. I just think they are conveniently jumping to conclusions and trying to pedal a line of BS to cover their asses. That’s one of the things communists of all stripes have always done the best.
