Not surprised that the hydrochloroquine doesn’t clear the virus from the body. That would take antibodies that you have to grow yourself. The med is good at reducing the symptoms while your body builds antibodies to fight the virus, and that’s enough.
It also, and maybe in combination with zinc, will prevent the virus from getting into cells, which I interpret as meaning that if you take it early enough, it might stop the spread of the virus, giving your body less to fight, and maybe preventing it from spreading through your lungs.
It’s funny when they say “it was only given to mild cases”.
In one usage, the guy gave it to ALL of his patients, as soon as they had symptoms. All of them were mild. But would they have all been mild if they didn’t get it?
Of course, we can’t answer that — which is why we do need studies where were take large random populations, and see what happens with and without treatment.
