As bad a ruling as Roe v. Wade was, it recognized that the state has a compelling interest to protect individuals.
Closing clinics performing voluntary procedures to preserve needed medical supplies for a recognized pandemic is entirely consistent with exercising authority to protect their compelling interest.

Buts its perfectly OK to BLOCK LANDLORDS with PRIVATE PROPERTY from moving an eviction entrapping a landlord that may indeed trash your home and not get right on unpaid rent all while running the AC that the landlord’s contract says he is to pay.
They went after a blanket assumption that alot of hard-working Goldilocks tenants got clobbered by the pandemic.

Its a Rule issued by Tx Supreme Court to freeze evictions till April 19 with possibility to EXTEND. They apparently had the Tx Apt Association in on this move but of course included all the lib groups as well.
