Yes, I seeing more tweets from doctors and patients in US that the combo HCQ/Zpack does work in many cases. Maybe it’s timing or underlying health issues where it’s not working. It’s not 100% but many countries are formally making their first line of defence. If Italy is just now allowing it to be used, they’re very late.

This would fit in with the theory that it stops or hinders the RNA from duplicating give your body a chance to fight it off. So your best chance is early on before the virus is spinning all over your body.

Given that Zinc is thought to help hinder the RNA replication... I continue watching for things that make good Zinc transporters so that I never need to take the combo.

the problem with chloroquin etc. is you have to use it early: if you are already intubated it's probably too late, because you are in the midst of a "cytokine storm".link

A Lancet article from 2003 suggests how chloroquin etc works in viral infections.

that might be offline since they are doing maintanance on the site

so here is a quote

Chloroquine exerts direct antiviral effects, inhibiting pH-dependent steps of the replication of several viruses including members of the flaviviruses, retroviruses, and coronaviruses. Its best-studied effects are those against HIV replication, which are being tested in clinical trials. Moreover, chloroquine has immunomodulatory effects, suppressing the production/release of tumour necrosis factor α and interleukin 6, which mediate the inflammatory complications of several viral diseases.
