It’s a stunt, probably a dumb one, but maybe also an important one. If the precedent is set that two trillion dollars can be negotiated on behind closed doors, nine hundred pages of legislative text written and voted upon without being read and passed into law without even allowing a token voice of dissent to be recorded in the congressional record, what’s the point of a legislature?

Yes, as we edge closer and closer to some sort of enabling act completely bypassing them. We have Trump now, but in 1 or 4 years,probably we will probably get a Democrat white House and crap like this further paves the way for them to claim “emergency powers”.

We are living in about 1930, and Hitler is an unknown democratic party member out there...somewhere.
