Because the Republicans have been pushing the narrative that Pelosi has been stalling this bill, and they have been scoring a lot of points with the public. This guy is going to blow this narrative back up into the Republicans’ faces. The average person is not going to know or care about the House protocol and rules. They just see that their check is going to be 1 day later because of a Republican.
I think the flip side of this is that it forces a lot of Democrats to vote against this bill just to satisfy their special-interest supporters.
