Me thinks they protest too much.
In my conspiritorial mind, the pieces are starting to come together: the virus was created and spread, they shut down the world econonmy and now they don’t want daily life to get back to normal. At the same time, the Senate and House democrats drug their feet in getting a stimulus bill together that would provide help to almost everyone. Something smells fishy to me.
Never let a good crisis go to waste.
Physical distancing signals social rejection of one’s fellow man. Yet those of us who have most eagerly adopted the so-called “social distancing” regime are persuaded that they are bestowing a gift on those from whom they distance themselves. Hence they regard those of us who reject so-called “social distancing” as ungrateful jerks. How does this awkward social situation get resolved after the return of normal life? Virtue signalers have found a new cudgel with which to beat us over the head. How likely are they to agree to disarm themselves? Seems like it wouldn’t happen anytime soon.
