It may already be too late for that whether Sanders is the nominee or not. And they still have to answer the question, if not Sanders, then who? Because no one in the current pool looks like a reasonable answer to that question and time is ticking. It's a long way to November still but it's no longer a long way until July. The debate dogpile on Bloomberg gives us an idea of the probable welcome a late entry into the contest will receive and we've truly reached the point where Hillary looks like a valid alternative but hardly a winning one. Yes, it has come to that. The lunatics are running the asylum now and they're looking for a Chief Lunatic, not a compromise.

We might not like him, but Bloomberg is the only one in the remaining group whose track record in politics (i.e. Mayor of America’s biggest city ) tell us that he is NOT a socialist. He can’t be because of his wealth.
Joe Biden isn’t really a socialist either, he’s just pandering to the left wing base. So is Amy Klobacher.
The remaining ones who are socialists (albeit not as full-fledged as Bernie ) are Lizzie Fauxcahontas and Mayor Pete ( don’t be deceived by his attempts to appear moderate because he’s not ).
It cost hillary a big chunk of change the last election, bernies price has to be a lot higher now. The commie has found a lucrative new career.
Doomberg has much more than Hillary did.

I’m thinking they’re going to look at their real poll numbers, decide that nobody they pick will beat Trump in 2020, and just let the hard Left have their candidate, and see just how much the US electorate wants a Communist president.
Bernie Sanders, should he become president, will get to:
1. sign bills passed by Congress and
2. appoint judges that have no legal objection to baby-killing for convenience.
The only difference between Bernie Sanders and the rest of the Democratic candidates in terms of possible job performance will be that Bloomberg would probably fight and veto federal wealth taxation.
