Even if it comes to this, I would not expect these to become long-term practices.
But, IMO, if population centers became dispersed, and people lived in the hinterland and “went to work” over the Internet more and more, it would be a good thing. And I’d like to see government schools closed and more and more people “go to school” over the Internet.

Your post is right on. This is an excellent opportunity to teach and train people about how LITTLE they need govt. That would certainly be a silver lining in this “teachable moment,” as the leftists like to say.
When this thing first broke in China, the online gaming stocks skyrocketed because everyone stayed home playing games and gambling on their phones. Same with food delivery.

My first thought was “Why should this model not be a norm for schools?”.
