A 26 year old Lawyer? Who in their right mind would hire a 26 year old lawyer to do anything but wait tables or take the fall for some screw up a junior partner did.

Here’s the dirty little secret about law firms: people hire some 60-something attorney, who ends up doing very little of the work, turning the grunt work over to 26 year old attorneys.

When I was a 26 year old attorney, I billed something like 2,700 hours per year. Most weeks I worked 60+ hours. I really learned the business in those years. And I loved every moment of it.
