A 2014 survey by Lars Willnat and David Weaver at Indiana University found that only 7% of journalists identified themselves as Republicans. Ideally, earning a journalism or comparable degree would mean a newly minted graduate had been taught to be neutral but with todays academic institutions steeped in progressive philosophy, it is easy to see how we have arrived where we are.
We deserve better.
Thankfully, alternative spaces for news and analysis are growing at a rapid rate, led by the podcast revolution. Perhaps that is the key to unbiased news and a less divided society.

Perhaps that is the key to unbiased news and a less divided society.
This is not logical. If all journalism graduates are commies, then there is no divided society. We should already have achieved nirvana where everyone thinks the same. And there is no such thing as unbiased news, there is only true news and false news. Commie journalists have no interest in true news, only false news. The saying "Everything liberals (commies) touch turns to schitt" is literally true. You can't live with 'em, you can only live without 'em.

CNNs Jake Tapper was equally miffed, declaring: President Trump gave a speech that was really not aimed in, for most of it, on uniting the room or the country. It was aimed at appealing to conservatives with red meat Republican issues. This says so much about the state of journalism. A speech celebrating a vibrant economy, successes and sacrifices of ordinary people is dismissed as an appeal to Republican issues. If it weren't for the taint of socialism permeating the press and DemocRATs, they would recognize that the speech celebrated Americans and was really not political at all. That the left hates ordinary Americans could not be more obvious than with statements like Tapper's.

The part that galls me is that these folks actually think they are superior to the “commoners”.
The very fact that they are doing what they are doing indicates to me that they have chosen the “easy” way in life and that most, if not all, have never faced real challenges in life or intellect.
I, and most others who have had real jobs, actually feel them to be the inferiors.
And we are correct in our feelings.

Good editorial! They are right, it all goes back to the J Schools, reporters are not being taught the importance of being objective.
I saw an editor of the New York Times the other day, she was way too young to be editing anything other than a school newspaper.

You can bet that the majority of those attacking Trump’s SOTU address had written their rants days before the event.

Great post ... only problem is the link goes to the paper where 50 stories are listed. Can you have the mods fix the link?
This is a subject I can about ... and I might spend the 10 minutes trying to find the story but most people won’t...
Ping me if you get the link. Thanks.
