Look, I am not in any way being critical of you for not serving since there are many, many reasons for either not volunteering or not being accepted.
But you comments are telling in that they exhibit no understanding of how different the military is then how you and I live. An example is how Obama “fired” a bunch of Generals because their politics were different than his and he wanted to mold the General Staff to his own liking.
If the CIC wants a service member gone or reassigned to the North Pole they are gone and there is no recourse. There is no court they can appeal to since the CIC is the final word in cases like this.
He is still a US Army officer and he will return to the Army for his next assignment. Suspect that assignment will be intelligence/national security related and classified in nature. Also suspect his first duty will be to give a very detailed debrief on his activities at NSC
