Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, LPAC (the future is female queer intersectional OURS) and EMILYs List were among the leftist political groups that gave her their support and helped her raise hundreds of thousands of dollars from donors outside of Texas.
That kind of support also helped Markowitz catch the eye of national presidential candidates. She received endorsements from Biden and Warren.
DIDN'T WORK.

FROM THE TEXAS TRIBUNE:
Elizabeth Warren backs Eliz Markowitz in battleground Texas House race.
The U.S. senator from Massachusetts is the latest Democratic presidential candidate to get involved in the Jan. 28 special election runoff for House District 28.

It looks like she was a stand-in for Beto.
In other words, her campaign is like — “If you like Beto, vote for me. You’ll get him and his policies.”

” The PAC put 1,000 people on the ground to help Markowitzs campaign.”
THIS should truly frighten Democrats. Financing volunteers, transporting them, feeding them, often putting them up for days are among the major expenditures of a presidential campaign. I was put up and fed for ten days in 2004 and saw the workings of that campaign up close.
If a thousand volunteers working in a state representative district could only produce a 58/42 ass kicking the rat has lots to worry about.

Before this vote, I read that in the prior election in this district, the Dem candidate scored in the high 30%’s against a split field. So 42% should have been a reasonable projection for what the Dems can muster there, given all the outside money and interference. The Dems’/media’s “inflate expectations” game failed again, turning business as usual into a major defeat. So sad...
