The climate change surcharge added to the paid parental leave surcharge added to the paid sick leave surcharge added to the medical health care surcharge adds up to the reason so many San Francisco restaurants went out of business last year.

There ought to be a surcharge in San Francisco restaurants for tracking s*** in from the sidewalks.

San Francisco is an asylum run by the inmates, located in another country.

Keep on taxing, surcharging, etc., etc. and their will soon be nothing left in Cali but extremist leftist progressives, eco-maniacs (all of which make flat-earthers a frakin’ joke), and illegals. GG! /s

I wish there was some way they would notice my boycott. But, since I am already not going ever again to SF, my double secret boycott will never be felt.

Let’s be honest; they need the extra funds to pay for someone to scrape the human feces off the sidewalks in front of these places so the patrons don’t track it inside.

Some legal beagle should sue, requesting an audit to see if the “climate change charge” is separated in the restaurant’s accounting and contributed to the cause.
Otherwise, it’s just like an Al Gore mystery service fee tacked onto your phone or cable bill.
To: artichokegrower
As these restaurants start going out of business wondering why.

The owner of Mission restaurant Great Gold told Mother Jones that after many diners commented negatively on it, the restaurant decided to drop the fee and raise prices by 1 percent instead, with the intention of sending that 1 percent to Restore California each month. Sure they will.
