Conceivably, that would be even better for Trump, as it would splinter off democrat votes, but if the independent is moderate/centrist enough, might get some away from Trump too. Biden is not much of a threat to do that, even though the media loves to call him a moderate. Bloomberg could though. He has the money to push that narrative
Exactly this. Neither Trump nor Sanders pretends to anything. Neither is in this for money or perversions.
