Trump Administration Blocks Iran’s Top Diplomat From Addressing the U.N. Security Council

The Trump administration is barring Iran’s top diplomat from entering the United States this week to address the United Nations Security Council about the U.S. assassination of Iran’s top military official in Baghdad, violating the terms of a 1947 headquarters agreement requiring Washington to permit foreign officials into the country to conduct U.N. business, according to three diplomatic sources.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif requested a visa a “few weeks ago” to enter the United States to attend a Jan. 9 Security Council meeting on the importance of upholding the U.N. Charter, according to a diplomatic source familiar with the matter. The Thursday meeting was to provide Tehran’s top diplomat with his first opportunity to directly address the world community since U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the Jan. 3 drone strike that killed Maj. Gen. Qassem Suleimani, a top Iraqi militia leader, among others.

Bolton won’t testify. The House refused to supena him, so basically The Turtle will say too bad, so sad. Plus since there are no charges submitted, it looks like Mitch may just have the whole thing dismissed.

...”violating the terms of a 1947 headquarters agreement...”

What is a “headquarters agreement”?

How many divisions does the “headquaters” have?

See tagline!

That’s exactly what I’d do. Then I’d kick the UN out of the US and withdraw all together.

David Rockefeller, who was aka “Satan Incarnate on Earth” , created the U.N. + supplied the property for the U.N. to exist. Glad he’s finally assumed room temperature too.

Just kick out the UN creeps out of America. Turn the building into a homeless shelter. No need to fumigate the place. “Kills two stones with one bird.”

I say knock it down. That building blocks the light and breezes from the East River. No other building in that part of Manhattan is oriented that way.

Knock it down and build market rate condos. They would sell for a fortune! With the proceeds pay off the UN to build a nice complex in Senegal. It would help their economy!

Bolton has been saying he’d give testimony ALL ALONG provided the conditions were met and a formal subpoena was made out. He needed that in order for the Trump admin to take the issue to court.

The Democrats unfortunately didn’t bite and were too wary to do it.

The decision to act on Iran has to do with the defection of a very important Iranian general in April most likely. The defector was one of Suleimani’s comrades in the IRGC and he brought with him reams of material outlining Iranian [Suleimsn’s] terrorism plans and methods.

I don’t think Bolton was ever a former communist, therefor he doesn’t fit the def of a ‘neocon.’

APRIL 23, 2019 : (IRANIAN GENERAL ALI NASIRI DEFECTS FROM THE IRGC) On April 23rd, a huge story went mostly unnoticed as former Iranian Brigadier General Ali Nasiri from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) allegedly defected to the United States through an embassy in the region. He had with him a treasure trove of documents related to Iranian military and intelligence plans.
Nasiri’s fleeing from Iran has had an extremely negative impact among the hierarchy under his command. On April 19, the IRGC-associated Fars news agency referred to the fate of Nasiri without any further explanation.
“Under an order issued by Mohammad Ali Jafari, the [then] Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps commander-in-chief, Brigadier General Fat’ollah Jamiri has been appointed as commander of the IRGC Counterintelligence Organization.” This report made no mentioning of Nasiri.
Though neither the Iranians nor the Americans have officially confirmed the defection, events that followed an April 11 meeting in which Nasiri reported came to blows with Hossein Taeb, head of the IRGC Intelligence Organization, seem to support the claim. Nasiri reportedly left the meeting prematurely and then did not show up to work. Soon after it was reported he may have fled the country to another Persian state to claim asylum with the United States.
Iran confirmed that Nasiri was no longer in charge of his intelligence unit, replaced by Brigadier General Fathollah Jomeiri.

He defected the next day after SecState announced 10M USD for information leading to RevGuards, Hezzi and other Iranian proxy terror group prosecution.

The defecting General was head of :

The IGGC’s Protection Bureau was established in 1984, to oversee aviation and flight security (hijacking and bombing), as well as protection for regime and government officials, and foreign dignitaries visiting Iran.

And the General failed to show up for work a day or two after Trump designated the IRGC a terrorist organization.
