Three months ago, longtime political survivor U. S. Sen. Ed Markey was supposed to be working on an exit strategy.
He was supposed to have thrown in the towel and gone on a Danube River Viking cruise with his wife after he dropped plans to seek re- election.
The alternative was to face a challenge from U. S. Rep. Joe Kennedy III, who wants his job, a challenge that Markey could not possibly overcome.

Markey has been a not terribly bright lapdog for the Kennedy family his entire career. Now the old dog wants to bite back before he rolls over.

A Markey aide retweeted a comment about how great Markey was and “maybe Joe should focus on the mental health problems his family has had” or words to that effect.
This was shortly after one of the Kennedys died of a drug overdose/ had battled depression; body found at the Kennedy compound.Joe got pissed off!!
Markey is complete and utter scum, but for the sake of keeping the Kennedy pestilence away from higher office I hope he beats young Joe like a drum.
Massachusetts should be nuked from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
